If you remember a few weeks ago upon my return from New York Fashion Week, I posted about an elusive “pink lady” who I saw there but had no idea who she was. Since, I’ve not only found her blog, My Empirical Life, but I’ve added her to my list of Australian style blog inspirations (the ever-growing), and had a little exchange with her over instagram (i heart social media!). Now it’s time that Tanja Gacic was featured on my blog as an official Eurotrash girl, don’t you think?  Read the rest of this entry »

A quick post from a city stroll at Osgoode Hall in Toronto. Despite what you all think, I actually don’t go around dressed like Anna dello Russo – in fact, I prefer a sporty/preppy look for everyday life. There is something discretely European-appropriation-of-American-style to chucks, Wayfarers, a knit sweater, ripped jeans and a Louis Vuitton Neverfull. Incidentally, the jeans and sweaters are part of my latest Fall loot from Zara. Thanks, Alexander Liang, for snapping this pic!

Before rushing off to Diesel Black Gold, we snapped a quick outfit pic. I’m wearing: suede boots by Browns; dress by Elena V; aegean sweater by Euro Trash Clothing available online; leather jacket by Mackage; Neverfull bag by Louis Vuitton; wool and leather cloche by Max & Co; Mallory eyeglasses by Warby Parker.

Every Thursday the cock crows at 7am. The merchants, artisans and charlatans gather in the streets of Sora with their bancarelle. An outdoor market unfolds where one can buy anything from a spool of wool to fresh scallops from the sea. I’m not much of a haggler but watching my mom and aunt work the mercato is like watching a foreign artform in it’s splendor. If there’s one thing I learned, once the seller counteroffers your asking price, act like their offer is too high, or you don’t need the item, and walk away – they’ll come after you sheepishly agreeing to meet your demands. Works every time, like a charm. Like a boss. I bought nothing, obviously, and went directly towards the most expensive boutique in town and spent all my money on Mr. Eurotrash. Hope he likes his haggle-free gift!

I’m wearing: J Brand jeans, Converse shoes, Ferragamo shades, Free People sweater, Louis Vuitton Neverfull GM, and my Black Keys concert t-shirt.

The best purchase I made this summer are these jungle print cropped pants from Zara at a smooth $49.99. I’ve worn them more times than anyone would ever think they could wear jungle print pants. Naturally, I couldn’t close my suitcase without throwing them in at the last minute – true story. A wise decision, that was, to entertain the impulse. I paired them with a double print top; the pops of blue flowers match in the overall clash. Arm party, necessary. Complete with Jewel Mint All Wrapped Up bracelet (thank u!) and Tarina Tarantino pink skulls. My gold Miu Miu sandals making an appearance here alongside the latest edition to my closet, the Louis Vuitton Neverfull (ideal travel companion: goes with everything and is literally, never full) and my NY Yankees hat because sometimes I can dig cliches.

Stumbled upon this ancient Vogue Paris shoot featuring Brazilian export, Adriana Lima and the most Eurotrash accessory pairings I’ve seen in a long time. The colours – bubble gum pink? OK, have we watched My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding? Screams trashy, but Lima keeps it classy with her Brazilian, come hither eyes. I love her arm parties, and you know how much I hate arm parties. It’s like girls think they are going to get famous, ahem Man Repeller, taking the same photo of the same bracelet pairing just switched around every other day. PS. I used to really love Man Repeller.

Anyway fur, Chanel bags, Vuitton, jingarells (as Emilia would say), and a whole lot of BLING watches a Eurotrash girl make.
