We made it to New York City, the big apple. The place where dreams are made of. I absolutely need a few days in this town to recharge my fashion inspiration. I’m like a kid in a candy store, drooling at this fashion feast. Before I dig in, I thought I’d post some pics of my own. I’m wearing up and coming Toronto-based fashion label, BAZZUL. Creative director, Felicia Burke, was so sweet to dress me for Fashion Week – big thanks! Love reppin’ my Toronto brands in NYC. The dress was perfect for an 8am flight, lunch at the Soho House, straight to the Karen Walker show and then vagabonding all day with JR Bernstein along the High Line and dinner with the Kenton Magazine crew. I paired it with my new Miista boots from Shoppalu.com where they are available for pre-order. I added a “Dazzling Blue” accent by the means of a Wilfred sweater tied around my waist. The colour, by the way, is heralded as the lovechild of Cobalt blue and Spring 2014. #thankmelater Read the rest of this entry »
Thursday night in Toronto just got better. I’ll be DJ’ing the official launch party for this pop up shop hosted by Shoppalu in collabo with all these great people: Walk-in Closet, Singhnature.com and Kenton Magazine. Something old and something new, vintage meets all kinds of cool finds. So come shop, get a photo op with all of us bloggers-cum-DJs and enjoy what’s left of summer!
So, we had a party. Alex Liang and myself want to thank everyone who came out! We are donating $110 to the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation from the silent auction of two brand new Nella Bella handbags. A big thank you to DJs Secret Models for playing Azealia Banks and Clique and stuff like that. It was a sweet way to celebrate our crazy week of fashion with all our friends. Enjoy the pics courtesy of The Stirling Room.
We are throwing a party, everybody clap your hands! Alex Liang of Kenton Magazine and yours truly are throwing a Fashion Week after party at The Stirling Room in the distillery district right here in Toronto. The party starts at 10pm on Tuesday, October 23, 2012. We’ll have Kandi Apple Nails on site doing nail art (because you know how much that pleases me), and Nella Bella has graciously donated handbags up for silent auction. All proceeds will go towards The Breast Cancer Foundation since it’s October, the month of pink. We want to share our love for fashion with all of our friends, fans and readers, so please join us! Come say hi and have a drink with us!
Quite the surprise, on the third day Mr. Eurotrash found himself in New York City staying in the Lower East Side. He called up his main squeeze (me) and we had lattes at The White Rabbit (depicted below). I originally brought 5 pairs of heels for 4 days and wore nothing but my leather flat boots from PINKO; well, if we’re being honest, they’re my sister’s boots. In NYC fashion happens even in the most casual manifestations.
