I had been looking forward to Thursday, Day 4, all week. Firstly, Caitlin Power revealed her FW2012 collection with a special surprise: menswear! Yes, even you stylish boys can get in on her futuristic, structured aesthetic. Secondly, I had planned to wear the Ostrich feather skirt by BLAQUE LABEL, with the black sheer bodysuit and Jeremy Scott x Linda Farrow wing sunglasses all from REmix Clothing Co. The perfect addition to my outfit (aside from the infamous sock bun!), was the deep red Florence bag by Nella Bella. I’m so happy that Tarek and his team gave me this bag to wear to Fashion Week – it was like a cherry on top. Its got all these neat compartments (something NB bags are well known for) that made it so easy for me to have all my essentials right at my fingertips. I felt like a pretty princess all day long. Impractical? Yes. But what else of sportswear turned couture, especially when leading edge sports brand, Adidas, gets involved. The indelible Stella McCartney collaboration marked a watershed in women’s sportswear in 2004, much like Y-3 did for men just a year earlier. Now the brand plans on going back to her urban roots with next level line “Adidas Originals by Originals” – enlisting the creative pulses of fashion oddballs such as Jeremy Scott. The result?
