Visiting the GEOX PR headquarters, The PR Department, this week was like Christmas coming early. The SS 2013 line of shoes and apparel were on display for media and shoe-lovers, like myself, to review and obviously, covet.

Geox is most famous for ushering in a technological approach to footwear; their patented waterproof membrane lets sweat and air out, but doesn’t allow water in. It’s like osmosis for shoes. Seriously, check out the tests they ran in the rainiest place on earth, Cherrapunjee, India. Click here to see the interactive rain test.

The direction for the Italian company over the past few seasons has turned towards style in addition to their commitment to technological innovation. As I learned at the Spring preview, Geox is now offering a denim line, BLUGEOX. From a military-grade zipper to breathable fabrics, these jeans promise to be a best-seller for the company.

In addition to denim, the footwear and accessories have been totally revamped. With an eye on current fashion trends, the GEOX brand provides extreme comfort without sacrificing style. Some of the patent leather loafers had me salivating, and the summer suede ankle boots with studded toe had my name written all over them. Other styles include the infamous wedge sneaker popularized by Isabel Marant, and thick heel pumps reminiscent of the Yves Saint Laurent runway.

I really was impressed with the fuchsia scaled leather loafer and matching wallet. Screaming, “Look at me!”, these are the kind of showstoppers I need in my Eurotrash closet. The GEOX brand truly encapsulates Italian craftsmanship and impeccable style. Keep your eye on this brand if you’re like me (and you probably are) with one foot in European sensibility.

And for you Eurotrash boys, Geox has elegant brogues and oxfords for all seasons. I especially loved the woven leather ‘Bottega Veneta-esque’ lace up shoe and leather sneaker. As always, the Patrick Cox ongoing collaboration was clearly made for the opposite sex – the quilted hightop sneakers are gorgeous on any man.

My favourite shoe!!!!

These quilted jackets roll up and fit into a little satchel you can tote around, just cuz!
