Not only does Toronto have quite possibly one of the longest fashion week title abbreviation, #WMCFW, if you’re wondering, but we also have a 14-day long fashion week. Shows started already last week and the main event begins the day after tomorrow. Holy crap, get your Celine clutches clutched and claws sharpened sharp.

And obviously, we must make room for Toronto expats. Thanks to Paolo Fullerton’s the shOws, we get to host our most internationally successful designers back on home turf. Albeit, their collections have already made the rounds on Style.com and the global roster of publications. It’s still nice to see the collections in-the-flesh, re-staged for all the those ‘somebodies’ fashion week brings out twice a year.

I’ve gotta say, I love me a summertime Jeremy Laing. He always manages to bring out the dark side of whites. His dyed silks are buttoned and cut like military uniforms with just the right amount of drape, leaving the silhouette sharp without rigid tailoring. I loved the sequence accents on a few dresses that had cutouts aptly placed. He can do black for Spring, which is why I really feel this collection speaks to a perennial look. I don’t even think he really needs a Fall collection – I’d wear all this stuff RIGHT NOW.
