Two of my favourite looks from the Spring 2013 collection at Chloe Comme Parris. The Canadian designer duo has an aesthetic that’s light and airy, with big bad wolf undertones. I was so impressed with some of the patterns they introduced for Spring, such as the enlarged pastel flower (which I still say looks like an eggplant, even though Parris corrected me when I spoke to her after the show). Pastels with an attitude is how I describe the pieces. Hints of a European sensibility pervaded the collection – it was classy, and not too whimsical with just the right amount of leather: in the cropped, crop short form in black. Awesome.
