10 eurotrash points for the Iceberg sweater.

Eleanor, gee, I think you’re swell.

This lady, whose age I’d rather not know considering the breadth of her accomplishments, is a fashionista trendsetter tastemaker wonder. Her concept store You You Store in Torino opened in 2006 and launched her career as one of Italy’s leading fashion figures. She models and writes, always looks nice. And hangs with The Blonde Salad – or Chiara hangs with her. Eleonora also has a blog called Jou Jou Villeroy (and you thought Whatever Eurotrash was weird…). Her blog is part magazine, part street style gallery, and part online store.

I love her Eurotrash style because she strikes a balance between two currents in fashion that I’ve been struggling with lately. On the one hand, she does the tattoos, the dip-dye hair and that rocker-glam edge reminiscent of a Wildfox ad, much like the Jacflash aesthetic here in Toronto. On the other hand, she mixes in couture and more classical pieces. She’ll do a Celine bag, or wear a heavy jacquard suit with peplum, or even houndstooth. I love all her graphic tees, too. Cuz that’s a personal preference of mine. Eleonora Carisi has something so inimitable about her look, it just makes me want to try even harder to find my own balance between euro and trash.

Not even going to start on her precious beauty mark.

this hat and her purple tips, please take note. i’d love to pull this look off.

I can just picture her writing in her Agenda delle ragazze! I can write a whole blog post on those.

Ok, faceshield love right here.

Oh wow, I see what you mean by that seemlessly effortless balancing act! She’s like a much cooler version of Olivia Palermo, who’s style is usually pretty on point, but seriously lacks charisma and that euro punch.
