Quite the surprise, on the third day Mr. Eurotrash found himself in New York City staying in the Lower East Side. He called up his main squeeze (me) and we had lattes at The White Rabbit (depicted below). I originally brought 5 pairs of heels for 4 days and wore nothing but my leather flat boots from PINKO; well, if we’re being honest, they’re my sister’s boots. In NYC fashion happens even in the most casual manifestations.
My coattail shirt is by Toronto designer, Ashley Rowe, who I basically wear whenever I want that extra, effortless je ne sais… The next day her and I met up in Soho – she’s still there. We also had lunch with Kenton Magazine, also known as Alex Liang and Quentin aka Avenue Swank at the Daily Bread aka Pain Quotidien near Mr. Eurotrash’s hotel. Somehow we are all intertwined.
Mr. Eurotrash wore his now-antiquated YSL tee hailing from the flagship store in Paris, last summer. Apparently, you’d be hard pressed to find one now, and good luck once Saint Laurent Paris is baptized. The Y will be as rare as it is a vowel. And buddha beads plus Topshop pants and his Fred Perry shoes. I conned him into a photo shoot on the roof of our hotel, which boasts some of the best views on Houston.
Mr. Eurotrash (no he’s not a graffiti artist but, he DOES run the largest collection of Toronto’s street art on instagram @streetartintoronto )
Hotel East Houston located at 151 East Houston, very chill hotel in the Lower East Side, close to Soho, Nolita and Little Italy.
Getting ready in our hotel room, testing out the new Canon Rebel T3.
The White Rabbit for a quick coffee upon Mr. Eurotrash’s arrival.
