This summer, my sister, my Parisian cousin and myself will be spending a few weeks together travelling France and Italy. I am beyond excited. Every time I get to set foot on European soil it’s like getting a fashion makeover, almost instantly. Well, maybe after a few days in which I throw out all my clothes, spend hours sitting in cafes taking mental style notes as I watch gorgeous, stylish women just BE, and then of course, the full day of shopping to appropriate my own version of a european summer style. It’s inevitable. Really, I’d be better off arriving with an empty suitcase and a VISA card (preferably not one with a balance on it such as my own). And even though I know once I arrive I’m going to cry bitter tears of complete fashion failure it will be fun to share the various “economical” preparations leading up to the trip. (Including purchasing a fresh pair of lilac LITA’s by Jeffrey Campbell).
