Last Monday every single person who has ever dabbled in Toronto’s fashion scene, and there were even some first timers for sure, attended the Montreal based magazine, Dress To Kill, spring issue launch party. The venue – my favourite card game (I will kick anyone’s ass) – Briscola, a nouveau, eurostyle trattoria in Little Italy. FASHION’s Caitlin Agnew and I spent half the night trying to breathe but it was a pleasant asphyxiation, no less. I mean, if I were about to die I wouldn’t be too upset if an ice cold Peroni (who sponsored the soiree) were my last drink. Just sayin’. (In reality I didn’t even have one – $8.00 a beer? That’s a little too steep for eurotrash on a Monday night. I mean, if David Dixon can shell ‘em out gratis at his runway shows…). NB: I am not an MDF on the hunt for freebies, I just think the price should’ve been maybe like $6.00 instead.

Buzzed or not, the night remains hazy to me regardless. Could it really be that my name was in print on a glossy magazine page? Patrick Gervais and I wrote a succinct piece on the “coolest” boutiques to visit here in Toronto featuring Spectacle on Queen, Haute Classics and A2Zane. I had to take a picture because it ain’t real unless you twitpic, right?
