Always a personal favourite, Cate Blanchett surpassed even my expectations this year with her red carpet choice. I remember when Givenchy’s Spring couture collection was revealed just months ago and how breathtaking it was. The dresses combined a structured silhouette with meticulous detailing – and each dress had my favourite finishing touch: an interesting back. In fact, the dresses were photographed as such: model facing forward, and model turned around facing back. Cate’s pick was second to none and girls like Jennifer Lawrence, who showed up in a Baywatch inspired dress (picture Pam’s red bikini turned into an evening gown), only further highlighted Ms. Blanchett’s style supremacy.
